We’re not good enough writers to appropriate express how much we love this song and video. Wolf Parade is added to the bands that we’d do anything to see and haven’t seen yet (Arcade Fire and Fleet Foxes the other two).
The band is slowly creeping up into My Morning Jacket and Neil Young territory in the pantheon of our favorite bands.
This particular song is incredibly beautiful, fantastically rocking and the story within it is heartbreakingly sad. As the video depicts, the song tells the story of an astronaut who is lost in space and won’t get back to the woman he loves. The song is a love story, but in a gritty, unconventional, imaginative way.
